  • Conducting research on capillary microfluidic, paper-based, and hybrid analytical devices for environmental monitoring, water quality analysis, and public health applications.
  • Designing, fabricating, optimizing, and validating portable analytical sensors for the rapid detection of environmental contaminants, including heavy metals, nutrients, pesticides, and emerging contaminants.
  • Collaborating with researchers from federal agencies, including the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center, as well as academic and industrial partners on externally funded research projects.
  • Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory research, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication, while contributing to proposal development and other research activities within the Henry Research Group.
